Matured for 13 months in old Burgundian Barrels. Intense and complex nose of blackberry compote. Strong flavour with agreeable tannins and notes of blackberries and blackcurrants. Final taste of liquorice. A strong, well expressed wine. It goes well with truffle, game or a refined goat's cheese.
