The small Martoccia di Brunelli farm lies in the midst of the Montalcino hills - an area particularly well known for Brunello di Montalcino wines which is made of 100% Sangiovese grapes. The Martoccia die Brunelli farm is owned by Mauro Brunelli and Anna Savini, both of whom are descended from farming families that have always lived in Montalcino. Their only son Luca decided to produce wine on the farm after completing his studies.
Currently, the Brunelli Estate covers 20 hectares of land. 8 hectares are vineyards, part as Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. Another 4 Ha are part of the property in the Montecucco area, where 4 Ha are planted under vines. The rest is olive groves and woodland.
