The Epilogue vineyard was planted by Jacques Borman in 1996 after his ground-breaking success with Syrah at La Motte in the late '80s and early '90s. Early vintages, were impressive but Reenen Borman has brought this vineyard to another level.

Modern Rhone in style this wine has a lot of perfumed aromomatics with hints of white pepper and oak spice. Great concentration on the mid-palate with silky tannins. A truly well balanced wine. Certified and bottled on the farm. Good to drink now, but will develop and mature over the next 10 years. 

Epilogue is Boschkloof's flagship red wine made from a single block of vineyard. The SH99 clone is situated on top of decomposed granite soils in the Stellenbosch Hills. Made as naturally as possible. 100% Syrah. 30% wholebunch fermented. 25% concrete aged 30% new oak, rest old French oak. All 400 litre barrels.
