Grown from 20 + year old vines and organically farmed and produced. This is a stunning pinot, the 2018 harvest benefited from a growing season that was slightly cooler than the previous vintage, resulting in fully developed complex flavors. This is apparent from the first sip.
This pinot has a bouquet of sweet berry fruit and cherries with notes of earthy forest floor and mushrooms. On the palate, it's elegant, well balanced, and has a long lingering finish, with just a touchof oak. Delicious when served with red meat dishes and particularly good with duck and mushroom risotto. The flavors in this wine develop beautifully in the wine glass.
